What is "Solder-Free Gold"?
The traditional manufacturing process for gold jewelry involves processing raw material, that is, pure gold plates, into components, and then soldering these components together to form the finished product. This process conventionally requires solder to facilitate fabrication. Metallic elements such as lead, tin, chromium, and nickel and other compounds contained in the solder, after the welding process, not only lead to a reduction in the purity of the gold jewelry, affecting its color and luster, but may also cause adverse health effects for the wearer. The optimal method for producing higher-purity gold jewelry is to eliminate solder at the source.
